What sets Expedia apart from its competitors though is the range and depth of information available about places all over the world, with detailed maps also available. The guides cover a number of top destination cities and there is also a wide range of country information available (health, things to see and do etc.) and airport information (directions, facilities, phone numbers etc.). The most complete travel site.

Created in January 2002, this site has the backing of nine of the world's airlines and offers flights, hotels, cars and holidays. This is probably the best looking travel site available and has a clean, crisp and cool site design without unnecessary animated adverts. There are flights from over 400 airlines, rooms in 54,000 hotels and over 23,000 car rental locations worldwide on the Opodo web site. A must see site for everyone.

Very fun and friendly site that is so easy to use and has a very good holiday search facility. Also has sections on 'hot deals', resort guides, travel helpers (hints and tips) and you can build up personal profiles.

World of Travel
Interesting features such as webcams to show you your desired destination at any time of the day and the ability to choose hotel options such as sea views, restaurant etc help to mark this site out from other travel web sites. There are some good offers available and the site is easy to navigate. However the flight booking section only contains a limited range of special offers and not the huge selection available from the Online Travel Company for example.
